Abstract

CABRI GEOMETRE II is a computer program for interactive geometry. You can perform geometric constructions on the computer as if you would use a pencil, a ruler, and a compass - but it is much easier with the mouse. CABRI GEOMETRE II makes it so simple to explore geometrical facts experimentally. The program's capabilities include:

Euclidean and analytic geometry in cartesian and polar coordinates
Testing of properties
Simple recording of macros
Animation for visualizing properties
Simple construction of conics

We teach how to work with CABRI GEOMETRE II. We use simple simple examples, some of which provide suggestions for the educational use of this program.
