Abstract
Maple V release 5 provides two new types of mathematical visualization tools
enabling the user to create rudiment web pages, animated gif files and vrml
files. Animated gif files are created by user-supplied mathematical formula,
and the resulting moving images can be viewed by any popular web browsers such
as Netscape. The command "vrml", allows the user to store 3D geometric objects
in the form of the VRML file. In this workshop we invite the participants to
experience the visual effects created by the files. We shall also perform a
demonstration showing the process of creating such files. We are optimistic
that the computing environment permits the audience to follow guided examples
to create the web pages and all such files mentioned above.
